star tortoise 2 years old scratching wood

from last 2 days my tortoise is scratching the wooden table at the corner.I don't know it's absolutely normal or what. between also seen my tortoise trying to scratch beak and front hand nails in the corner. it repeats. he is active eating well.


is this behaviour right ? do they try to trim nails and beaks by own ?

Hi,

He might simply be trying to get out, especially if he can see over the corner. How big is the enclosure?

@T Smart I do keep him outside often under my or family's supervision .enclosure size is 4 by 3 feet .substrate is Coco chips, cocopeat and topsoil.
only have one baby .his size is now 3 inches after almost 2 years.he is already suffered from worms infection and little respiratory issues in early stage. just after taking baby home.
