Last year i got 2 star tortoises that i got from chatujak. I don't remember their specific sizes but they were around 4 inches in length, they weren't hatchlings but still very young. I let them soak outside in the sun everyday and bring them back inside to their tub. I feed them mostly chinese spinich (kang kong), mustards, and mazuri LS tortoise diet with some hay to chew on. Occasionally i give them cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, watermelon and other solids. Could anyone tel me their sex and if they're growing right?

One of them has irregular scutes and is starting to pyramid somewhat badly but its shell is still pretty hard. Is this normal?

The pyramiding is caused by being kept too dry. Add some moist sphagnum moss to their hiding place and soak them for 15 minutes daily. Keep their substrate moist too. It also helps to cover the indoor habitat to keep the warm, moist air inside.
