Strawberries

I know that he can eat the strawberries but can he eat the leaf? Is it ok to put in his out side pin?

The leaves are better for your tort than the fruit.

You have a testudo. They cannot process sugars easily - it causes digestive and kidney problems - so fruit, bell pepper, tomato and carrot should only be fed very sparingly and very occasionally

If you want to grow a strawberry plant in the outside pen, I suspect it wouldn't last long. It would be eaten or trampled.

The leaves contain calcium too. I do recommend planting them in tortoise enclosures. If you plant them in shadier areas, they won't produce as many berries and the leaves are good for them. My tortoise has open access to strawberry plants---heck, you can see strawberry plants in my current avatar photo. Strawberry plants can handle some tortoise stomping and they aren't a plant that my tortoise eats to the ground. My family keeps the berries picked well enough that the tort rarely scores any.
