It may be possible to determine this from knowing the cost and/or the source. The Western Hermann's Tortoises are usually a fair amount more expensive than the Eastern Hermann's Tortoises. How much did it cost and from whom did you get it? Did you ask the seller what type it was? If so, what were you told?
