Substrate and lighting question

What substrate should I use for a 6 inch sucalta tortoise and would a zoo med power sun be a good bulb

My substrate of choice is small grade orchid bark, however, many of our members use coco coir and swear by it.

I like to use the Zoo Med Power Sun (100 watt) when I have indoor enclosures.
