Here in Spain there's no cypress mulch so whould this be ok as a base for my hatchlings?

Hi Val: I don't like to use moss because they sometimes eat it. What kind of hatchling are we talking about? Try to find fir bark. I like that better than cypress mulch. People who grow orchids like to use fir bark to grow them in. I'm sure you will be able to find that.
