We got our sully 5 months ago and today he weighs 83 grams and his plastron is just over 3 inches long. He still gets soaked daily and he is very active, he eats and poops significant amounts. This week he started burrowing a little in his substrate. Can you estimate his age? Unfortunately I've been unable to reach the bredder to find his exact age.

(I am aware that he cannot be accurately sexed right now, I just call it a he because he seems like it.)

Looks like he may be about a year old.

83 grams seems really small. Even for a 5 month old. I know they all grow different rates but my 5 month old is almost 300 grams. Do you keep him humid? Feed daily?

He is very pretty, I like his coloring.

At 6 monthish, my Little Ricky was 283gm and 4.5".
That said, all tortoises grow at their own pace and all we can really do is provide them with the food, space and proper husbandry they require for true, healthy growth.
