Saturday was the first time I gave Ralph sweet potato and yellow squash. Since then, he hasn't had much of an appetite. Ate some, not much, greens on Sunday and didn't eat ANY greens I gave him yesterday. He also wasn't very active yesterday. Sunday's activity was there, but less than normal. Yesterday he was only active for about an hour and then went to bed. I should also mention that yesterday I had to wake him up at around noon to put him outside (I keep him in at night for heat). He's outside now munching on grass.

Could this be from the potato and squash?

Has your weather cooled like ours in CA? We've gone quickly from a heat wave to cooler days and cool nights. I've noticed Tank has slowed a bit the last couple of days in response to the weather change. He has been chopping down on his Rose of Sharon and mulberry clippings, but has minimal comparative interest - yet he's trucking around the yard as usual on his daily outings. He goes to bed earlier the last couple of days and wakes later than usual - but, again - the weather has cooled considerably. In other words - it may be a combination of diet and weather temps, especially if there are no other signs of problems. Hope this doesn't confuse the issue for you but thought I'd share my observations.

Thanks.

I called the vet too and he said that Ralph was probably full from eating. As long as he was starting to get back to "normal" then not to worry. It was a good sign he was munching grass.

The weather has cooled a bit, too, so that may be an issue too. We are in San Diego

Sorry Debbie, I forgot you are also in CA. Our weather in the Central Valley cooled considerably after a three day heat wave, especially at night.
