Meet Tator,

8B10E280-BADB-4D7F-8401-8FC9D911482C.jpeg
He was born September 2016.
He got off to a slow start as far as growth...
he has been cared for with high humidity when he was young... and other recommendations often outlined
I just think he’s a late bloomer.

I have his weight graphed over time from the time he was about 1 year old (~dec2017) and started supplementing his diet with Mazuri LS in the winter 2019.

You can see that the exponential growth kinda correlates.

I searched sooo many times worried that Tator would never get bigger or die from hatchling failure since he wasn’t growing early on... this doesn’t seem to be the case at 3.5 years old and 6 pounds.

Does anyone know if this is just a growth spurt? Or will it continue at this rate until “full size” or “a certain age”?

If nothing else I hope my graphs are helpful to someone.

Looks pretty normal to me. "Breeder Failure Syndrome" has them stall around 50 grams. If they are already well past that weight, then they would be out of those woods, so to speak.

Yours is on the small side of normal for its age, but that can be the result of many factors. I wouldn't worry about it at all. He looks great.
