Sulcata substrate issues

Hi guys. I've been experimenting with different substrates for the past few months. I first used exo terra's desert sand and later on changed to chipsi extra chip barks and now i'm using JBL's coco fibre. There are pros and cons for each substrate. The main concern i'm facing now is that the coco fibre when moist sticks to the head of the baby sulcata. Will that harm the baby sulcata in anyway? It is also quite hard to remove the dirt stains on the head of the baby sulcata. Anyone knows how to overcome this?
