hello everyone I have a quick question I was wondering is it good to feed my sulcata hay ?n does it matter wat type of hay

Ok kool my tortoise is 20 years it was given to me but i was wondering cause my bro has horses n i was wonderingg if it eats that type of hay the horses eat cause he gave me some but i wanted to make shure first before i give it any n makes it sic i dount want that to happen

Hay can be a major part of an adult sulcatas diet. I prefer orchard grass hay, but bermuda hay and some occasional alfalfa hay is good too.

Make sure your tortoise always has access to clean water and is drinking regularly when feeding dry hay. Its better to feed mostly fresh grass, weeds and leaves, but hay is okay too.
