Swimming babies

So I promised myself I was going to clean the house extra good today, because I've been slacking off. So I cleaned the kitchen (Yeah) but then my "I would rather do anything than clean house" side took over;.
So I decided to see if baby box turtles can swim as good as my adults. But it's pouring outside and cold and windy, so I decided just to drop them in my 250 gallon tank. I breed balloon belly Mollies, and have 2 gold fish that I could felet and feed 4 people. Anyway I dropped in the turtles, and they and I had a blast! Here's some pix. These are the two rescues I brought back from tortadise. He gave me 3 box turtles but wouldn't just give me an Egyptian, go figure

Yea, I know I'm a grown up adult woman who should know better then to put box turtles in the fish tank. But they enjoyed it and so did I.
This last box turtle is sort of funny lookin, but the photo is so cute, I just want to share it with everyone.

I'm biased toward torts, Knobby is looking quite handsome.

And don't tell, but I've been known to put my little red in the bigger tort's soak bins to watch her bob around. It's cute. She's our only swimmer. The others have no interest. The males sink and the other girls just float and struggle if you put them in too deep.

hahahaha Thanks for the great laugh this am. I had forgotten my swimming joke and that big "box turtle" sure did get you, and others. How fun.....
