Tank eats the moss is that safe?

I just put some New Zealand sphagnum moss inside his tank and he is kinda devouring it is this ok?

My leo tends to eat some when I give her titbits while she's on her moss. She eats a few pieces and it's never done her any harm. Not sure about mouthfuls of it though. Should be okay.

Personally, I would let him eat it.

Alright thanks I sat with him a while got him to stop when he tried.
I think he got the idea.
