Thanks everyone! My little $99 Black Friday camera rocks sometimes...lol
I have always loved photography so I am sure I will posting a LOT of photos!

I do have a question - He/she found the hiding hut and has been asleep for well over an hour. Is this normal? I am really resisting the urge to reach in and check for breathing. (I am a bit paranoid!)

Babies and yearlings do sleep and hide a lot at first. This is because in the wild pretty much everything wants to eat them so they stay in safe places where nothing can see them. Also, human babies sleep a lot while they grow - so do tortoises. As he gets older he should be more proactive.
Mine is a lazy bugger that still doesn't move much at 2 years old however :p

Did you manage to sort your enclosure out in time? And is it nice and hot and humid? :D

You have a cutie there. How exciting for you. S/he seems very adapted to his/her new family already. Like already said, they do sleep a lot. Also, some times in their soaks, you won't know they are drinking, they do it so non eventful. Have fun and enjoy your little one, s/he won't be little for long:D
