You will have to upload the video to YouTube. Then you get a link to it, and post the link here.I’ll take one...tomorrow...well later today since it’s 2am. Lol...can I upload a short vid like a photo? Any vid posting requirements?
Took me a while, Karen....You will have to upload the video to YouTube. Then you get a link to it, and post the link here.
Being able to upload video straight to the forum is a perk for supporting the forum financially.
Took me a while, Karen....
It gave me two options...over eighteen or for kids. When I choose kids the first time I uploaded them...it said no one could post replies to the vids because of that choice. I’ll change back ..just to see what happensGreat videos! He's really good at the dance. My 2.5 year old won't do it at all.
I don't know why, but your videos came up as 'age restricted'. I only needed to sign in to my YouTube acct to see them, but I've never seen that before. Weird!
Ok...changed it to no age restrictionIt gave me two options...over eighteen or for kids. When I choose kids the first time I uploaded them...it said no one could post replies to the vids because of that choice. I’ll change back ..just to see what happens
Also will try to get more colorful vids of Roja. I took the vids right before lights out at nite...so the substrate had dried pretty much from the morning wetting with only the very bottom layer still moist and her carapace was dull from basking. Also have been experimenting with misting her a few times a day...but this creates water marks on her...so I think I’ll go back to just bringing her into the shower 3 or so times a week with the other Redfoot. Gives a better hydrating experience I think...and no water marksOk...changed it to no age restriction
And now they're fine! Much more convenient!Ok...changed it to no age restriction

I’ll try that. I don’t like the white from spraying with our crappy water. Loaded with chlorine and fluoride. I think the problem was the sprayed water was drying under the basking lamp. When I take them in the shower...I always dry the Redfoots off before going back in the enclosure. In the summer...when they are outside with rain and natural humidity...this isn’t a problem. Wish I lived where they could be out year round. When I mist Sulafat I use distilled water. I have to buy it anyway so no inconvenience.
You can also use RO water, or collect rainwater. After a soak, I always rinse him in distilled.
One other thing, Karen. I use spring water for some other animals we have....so do you think the natural minerals in spring water will leave a discoloration when it dries...like tap water? If the discoloration has a possible benefit...like adding minerals to the shell...I’d tolerate itI’ll try that. I don’t like the white from spraying with our crappy water. I call it the Hootchie Cootchie dance. Sulcata do it best. My over 100 lb Sulcata could actually shake me off of his back. I'm 115 lbsIs there anything more entertaining that watching your tort do the Watusi if you rub the back of the carapace? Never gets old...lol
