Three-toed box turtle (Terrapene carolina triunguis), which is native to St. Louis, Missouri. I had a few growing up myself here in Colorado (although the native box turtle here is the ornate, Terrapene ornata ornata). Boxies are such great little turtles - so beautiful. Very tortoise-like, although they are technically pond turtles, so they do need some live prey. Nice photos of pond turtles, too, by the way. :)
