Take a peek, this ship has left Baltimore Harbor and is off to other lands.
See anything odd about his navigation?

For reference the bigazz buoy to his 1pm is RED. The GREEN one is already midships and at his 3oclock.

Now can you see the White/blue RORO ship coming up the bay at speed hugging his right side of the channel as he should?

Wonder where the Maple is going to go? He should be next to, but inside the green buoy. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge channel is only 75m wide......

This is why we can't have nice bridges!

Turns out the Maple realized thier mistake, stopped and made 2- 90's in the channel...this close to the bridge.

Thankfully they are near the mouth of the Bay this evening.....

Wow! Ships that size in the wrong lane! I just keep dreading the day 2 oil tankers collide in the Bay...an ecological disaster of epic proportions.

I never used to think about such an event when I was younger. But in more recent years there are so many accidents that I think it's a matter of "when", rather than "if".
