I just recently built my Hermann's tortoise a new enclosure! If you guys have any helpful tips or suggestions on what type of flowers and things to put in it that would be cool! 20170509_134838.jpg20170509_131914.jpg 20170509_134859.jpg 20170509_134854.jpg20170509_134838.jpg20170509_134859.jpg20170509_134854.jpg20170509_131914.jpg20170509_134859.jpg20170509_134854.jpg

Babies do need a high humidity to grow smooth and healthy. Please take a read thru the great caresheet in the Hermanns section. I would also get a bigger water dish. He should be able to fit the whole size around of his body. Clay saucers that go under flower pots work great

I'm using the avdala bookshelf from Ikea and I put a shower curtain liner in it!! Thanks for the tip about the humidity! How would you guys suggest fixing that so it's a higher humidity because I used it have a screen mess cover over the top but it didn't seem to be keeping in any humidity, is there a certain substrate that would help or what else could I do? Also I have tried the flower pot saucers as a water dish but my little guy always finds a way to tip over in them and can't get back up I have no idea how he does it because I have even tried to put it in the middle of the enclosure so there is nothing he can climb up to tip over on but he always manages it!! Any suggestions on that?
