I was wondering if a calcium supplement with D3 is recommended along with TNT powder? I plan on using TNT this winter while my tortoise is inside. I didn't know if I also needed to use calcium too. I did last year but I thought I would check before I got more. Thank you for any suggestions.

I'm not really 'up' on the TNT, however, it seems like I remember reading you don't need a calcium supplement if you use the TNT. Here's a link to info on it:

Thanks Yvonne. How does D3 fit into the equation? My tortoise will be inside all winter.
I don't ever use the calcium supplement with D3. If you're using a good UVB light you don't need it.
Okay thanks. The D3 thing kind of confuses me. I have been told that all calcium I use should have D3 but then I wonder about cuttlebone and get confused again. I don't worry about it at all during the summer. I just scraped the cuttlebone on the food and call it good.my tortoise it's fine like that but won't touch cuttlebone by itself.
