They are gorgeous Kevin. I love them. They do look very similar to mine at that age. Someone a while back showed me some of ****'s hatchlings right out of the eggs and they looked just like my new little one. Very pale and lots of that leg spotting. I can't wait to see what mine turns into in 30-60 days.

How old are yours and how many do you have? Once they get older and we see what sexes we've got, we might need to do some breeding loans. What do you think? Well I guess you've got around six more years to consider it. Haha.

Thanks for posting K.

Yeah, I was wondering how many different tortoises we were seeing too. I'm recognizing female in the first two plastron shots, then I couldn't tell in the third plastron shot, and male in the fourth shot.

I have had the larger one for just about a year and the second one a few months less. I am not sure of when they were born. Probably only a couple of months or less when I bought them. They took awhile to start growing, but are doing well. I picked the first one out because it was darker and had a lot of peppering. The second one was dark with a lot of peppering, too- but I picked it because it had a rounder shape. I was hoping for a pair.

Loans are always a possibility with you, Tom. :p

I don't recall the history of you hatching out Gpp without any adults. How does that work?

I do want a chance at any you hatch out that are freakishly peppered.:D

emysemys-
Hopefully you are seeing what I am seeing. Tom needs to get pictures of all of his from the bottom.;)

I don't ever weigh my tortoises and I don't have a scale. I have Stars that are the same size and feel twice as heavy but I would not say the Leopards are light.

Good lord, man! Do you know how long it took to set up shop, take 30 pics of each of 14 torts so that I could get one decent shot that wasn't blurry or lit horribly? Then I had to go through them all, upload and post them. I'm not doing that again for a while. I've checked them out myself several times and there really isn't much difference. I am curious to know what I've got though... I'm using the split scute one to assume female, but all the other ones seem very similar in tail size and anal scute shape. They are only 8 or 9 months now. I'll do a big plastron post when they hit a year.

For whats its worth those are the darkest most rugged looking GPP babies I've ever seen. They look awsome.

You can really see all the patterns when they are wet, and the pic with the mouth wide open is the best...
