Too much uv?

I actually went outside to measure today around 1 pm just to make sure I remembered correctly (I measured in the 130's last summer). In full sun, the grass was around 105, and the dirt was between 114 and 128.

Outside, the tortoise can pretty much do whatever it wants. It can easily bask for heat and UV, find a nice cool microhabitat, etc. so we don't worry about this stuff outside- they also cannot overdose on sunlight as far as UV goes (although if they are trapped or stuck, they can die of exposure to too much sun, like most other animals.)
