I was a bit worried that my young Sulcata was not taking to the new diet as easily as I thought. Recently, I purchased a bag of grassland tortoise grazing mix and planted it in a plastic saucer. It grew well and has since been placed in the habitat. Hatch didn't take to it for about a week and I had to continue to offer treats of zoomed/mazuri/dandelion/nopale. Today it seemed that he found breakfast!

Question: is the live grazing mix enough with the occasional treat (maybe with calcium) or should I continue to prepare the salad (hibiscus , grass, zoomed, nopales, etc) ?

I would continue to offer the salad. Maybe you can cut it down to every other day.

I agree with Yvonne, continue to offer salad. By the way, your tort is super cute!

LOL...it looks like a small child who just realized he could dive face first into his birthday cake!
