Tortoise ID??

My friend knows someone who has a tortoise hes getting rid of. Does anyone know what kind he is?? These are the only pictures I have. Yes we're very aware this guy needs a lot of care :-( poor baby I hope we can help him

Agreed. Not sure on subspecies as they are hard to ID though.

Thanks yall! Any tips on how to get this poor guy healthy again??

Feed him only a little. He has obviously been overgrown. And definitely hibernate this winter if he's healthy as then he can behave more naturally and won't have new fast growth.
