Tortoise is giving me things

So, my tort is picking things up and placing them in my hands and won't walk away until I close my hand around it. It also waits for me to open my hand when it brings me something. Why is she doing that?

I have heard of tortoises carrying around food for themselves, (like @Renee_H s leopard tortoise) but nothing like this!

Because she wants to please you. Thats why I call my tortoises my kids

When I came in possession of her, she was already pyramided.
