One of my friends finally decided to get a redfoot! I went with him to petsmart and we checked to see if they had any in good shape.

One of the ones they had made a constant "popping" sound when it was breathing. It wasnt mouth breathing either, and its nose was completely clear. They had it chowing down on pellets and it looked to be in generally good shape.

We didnt buy one, but I cant stop thinking about this one.

Even though we'll likely never know what it was, have you guys ever seen(or HEARD) this?

Steve... yes ... my RF's do that all the time ...exspecially after eating. Also I find that rf's tend to be more audible during regular breathing.
If eyes are clear , no runs or bubbles in nose ... beak in tact ...
ya should be good to go !

I've had ones that popped eating certain foods, and one that clicked for a while, then would stop, then would do it again for a while. Ditto on N2's comments.
