Tortoise pee

What does tortoise pee look like? My tortoise just had a whitish cottage cheese looking pee while he was soaking. Is this normal?

Urates are normal. You want to see them creamy like tooth paste, not dry and or gritty which is/can be a sign of dehydration. My guy rarely even has urates because he is soaked so often (even as a juvenile.) The first time they pass them can be pretty shocking.

Remain calm, as the others have said, if its smooth and not lumpy or gritty, it's fine, just urates.
