Hello, I own an indian star tortoise, and I have a question regarding the supplementation. Usually I give it flukers liquid calcium . Which I had bought from Amazon.com since I live in india , and it was expensive with the custom duties. I used to give it 3 times per week while soaking(2.5 ml). And now it is getting over. Recently I bought a cat in the pet store, and the owner was selling bird blocks (usually known as cuttlebones). I bought one and I asked what it had consists of. He told me it is powder from a special bone which provides calcium. I saw the bone and it looked just like cuttlebones. I wonder if I could scrape a bit and sprinkle it on the food? I want to know if I should use it or not.
Look at the pics below to get an idea.

Yes, you can scrape that over the food a couple times a week. But don't use too much. It doesn't taste good and if they can smell it they won't eat.

Actually I made a mistake in saying that the flukers liquid calcium got over. I had brought 2. Should I continue with the flukers liquid calcium or should I scrape it and give it?

Calcium drops in the soaking water are probably not doing much. Better to put it on the food. Can you get real cuttle bones there? Or powdered calcium supplements like RepCal?

I use a real cuttle bone in his table all the time, but he hates it... So I use a little powder from it 2 times a week. But not too much, they won't eat if they smell it.
