Hey I recently got a pancake tortoise but I notice that when his shell is not soaked or wet it has some white spotting? Is this normal or is this shell rot? He’s acting normal, eating, walking drinking defecating normally.

The term shell rot gets tossed around a lot.
Its actually a very advanced case of shell fungus and can be fungal and microbial.
However, what you are seeing is neither.
I would not be concerned at all at those white areas.
