Hey everyone! I have a 15 year old russian (approx) that i adopted in early march of last year. He acts normal, eats normal, but i was giving him his bath and the small front part and back part of his shell are translucent. Is that shell rot? I can provide a picture if necessary, but should i be worried?

That's normal, nothing to worry about if it's what I'm thinking of and seeing here on all of mine.

the parts that are translucent are right by his neck, and right by his tail, no where else XD

If the areas that you're referring to as being translucent are along the edges of the shell, where the carapace and plastron meet it is most likely just normal growth. If the translucent areas are in farther on scutes, especially in the center of the scutes then the scute layer is lifting from the bone. This is not good. Photos would help greatly.
