Turtle news from the Netherlands (written in Dutch):
https://www.ad.nl/amersfoort/7-kilometer-file-op-a28-door-overstekende-schildpad~ad87b45b8/
A Dutch traffic service company posted on Twitter, that a turtle was crossing a highway and causing a 7 kilometer (4.5 mile) traffic jam.
It is unknown if the turtle made it across safely, but I guess someone did see it and hit the brakes to let it pass.
No turtles or tortoises live in the wild in the Netherlands, so it's definitely a pet that has escaped or been 'set free' (in the past, many red eared slider turtles have been dumped in parks, where they can survive the cold climate if there is a deep enough pond)
