Turtle has marks on belly?

My hatchling turtle(around 7 months old) was just swimming around today when I noticed these weird brown marks on his belly. Did he injure himself or is this just his egg sack going in?

Maybe a pic of it out of the water.. I know I have some hatchlings that have a mark on them in that area..

I don't know anything about aquatic turtles, so I can't really help you there, but I just had to say this is a really cool shot! How did you take this without getting glare off the glass?

Could you get a picture better focused on the spot than the last? Its blurry in the area you're talking about.
