Does anyone know what turtle this is? It's a pretty large aquatic turtle with a slightly shorter neck than a snake necked (see my photos), with a carapace length of roughly 1 feet.

I'm located in Singapore but this turtle isn't from the region. I was told it might have originated somewhere near Australia/Papua New Guinea area.

After a fair bit of self-research, it seems that I have found the answer to my own question. It's most likely a Bellinger River Turtle.

A rare and a very interesting turtle. That is indeed a Bellinger River Sawshelled Turtle, Myuchelys georgesi

They are quite rare and only come from one part of a small river in Australia. They are even more critically endangered with that strange disease that is killing the majority of them in the wild.
