I have a Red earred slider. From past 4 days he isnt eating anything. He is about 5 years old. At first we thought he is full thats why he isnt eating. From yesterday while giving him his tortoise food he tries to eat it but half of it comes out of his mouth. He is unable to gulp/chew the same. can you please help me out on what should i do and what is wrong with his health.
Thank you

Hi Sam, and welcome to the Forum!

Since you've had the turtle for five years, I can assume you're taking care of him properly. Would it be possible for you to post a picture of the turtle in his aquarium?

There's really no way for us to be able to diagnose your problem without a bit more information. For instance, how warm is the water? Are you feeding him in the water? Pictures would help us a lot.

Hi, Sam. Welcome to the forum.

Please provide more info as Yvonne asks so we can better help. I will also add that this time of year most loss of appetite issues with otherwise healthy turtles will often be the result of temperatures that have dipped too low, and/or lighting that is not on long enough to prevent them from wanting to start hibernation/brumation. Can you tell us the lighting you are using and how long the lights are on all day as well as water and room temperatures?
