I'm parting with the rest of my hold backs. All animals listed are from my 100%legal adult breeding groups. These animals are all 100% captive bred and healthy.

2 Captive Bred 2008 North American Wood Turtles-One is 3" the other 2" both perfect aggressive feeders and beautiful.

1 Captive Bred 2008 Blanding's Turtle-Nearing 3" gorgeous burst pattern unlike most, excellent bright yellows on face, legs and shell, the end of the tail is nipped. Perfect otherwise.

Take all 3 for $300 plus shipping

**I cannot and will not sell these animals to states where they are protected from being kept in captivity. Know your state laws because I will check them myself as well.

I think (from looking at pictures) that the N.A. woods are very similar to the Actinemys marmorata. I wonder why they're not classified in the same family.

Yvonne, The woods used to be classified the same as marmorata. It used to be NA Wood Turtle (Clemmys insculpta), Spotted Turtle (Clemmys guttata), Western/Pacific Pond Turtle (Clemmys marmorata) and the Bog Turtle Clemmys muhlenbergii). They have since been split up and the Spotted Turtle is the only "Clemmys" left since it's latin name remained the same. The wood and bog turtle have been separated to "Glyptemys" and the Western/Pacific Pond turtle is now "Actinemys".

Although alike, they are very different with Actinemys being much more aquatic, shy and quick. Wood turtles remain very terrestrial during certain parts of the year while still being semi-aquatic and are much more outgoing and personable.

Here's a photo of a hybrid I used to have 1/2 wood turtle 1/2 western pond. I passed him along to someone else mainly because I just do not support cross-breeding or hybrids of any species. Still, he was a cool turtle.
