The enclosure looks nice, but it’s much too small. This tortoise looks like it should already be in a minimum of 8x4 feet.

- red lights should not be used. Your tortoise can see both the color and the light, and it can cause them to eat their substrate as well as keep them up at night.

- coil or compact uvbs should not be used because they can cause eye burns and they are ineffective at producing uvb. Use a tube light.

-with the relatively high humidity you need, that cardboard hide will likely mold.

-you should be using a terra cotta saucer for water.

- the gravel/moss needs to be removed. Your tortoise will likely eat it.

- if your tortoise tries to eat the fake plants, please remove them.

-it appears that your tortoise’s beak needs to be clipped or ground down.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask :)

Your tortoise should not be roaming the house. Please read the post I made in this thread-
https://www.tortoiseforum.org/threa...aming-the-house”-post-to-a-tfo-thread.173004/

The cuttle bone will help, but you may have to grind down her beak with a drummer tool or get a vet to do it.

There should not be any amount of sand in an enclosure. It’s a huge impaction risk, as well as a skin, eye, and cloaka irritant.

Your tortoise requires a minimum enclosure size of 32 square feet, or about 3 square meters. It probably won’t be big enough.

That does look too steep to me. Your box is looking great, but you could get a $1 plastic wash tub, turn it upside down and cut a hole in the side big enough for your tortoise to walk through. Super frugal and holds moisture really well to make a humid hide.

Oooo or I can put a container in the corner for a humid hut and turn the ramp so it’s more sloped
