A guy has a bunch of imports listed on faunaclassifieds.com and kingsnake.com right now.

Anyone ever seen these available as CB offspring before? I've only seen imports. Plenty of imports.

They have only been produced in captivity a handful of times. The majority were hatchlings produced in-situ. I can't think of anyone who has had success trying to incubate them. Like most South American species, they will have a very long incubation period and will probably need to be cycled for them to hatch.

I still have an egg that is over three years old that shows no signs of development. It still has not gone bad yet either.....

Oh and I will have some available in the next few weeks. I have a bunch now but they are slated to go to China in the near future....

Thanks for that Eric. That's amazing that you have that egg. Wow..

They are quite striking, and I really hope to hear that someone can produce them ex-situ, but I bet it will take some weird incubation technique that no one has stumbled upon yet. If it does happen, it would be pretty cool to hear what that technique ends up being. Something needs to be tweaked, but what is it. Will it take trial and error, or luck?

I saw two hatchlings at an All Ohio Reptile Show back in the mid 1990s. Very cool turtles.
