That guy is full of derogatory fecal matter...

I worked in retail pet for 8 years. I have had 100's of cuttle bones in my hands. They do NOT smell.

Contact the manufacturer, they'll replace it. Then make sure to write to the manager and district manager. An employee should never argue with a customer over the quality of a product, never mind it being inexpensive AND a food item/ the potential to be very dangerous if contaminated etc

I just threw it out but its okay because I was gonna buy a new 125 gallon aquarium, looks like Ill be going to a different store :) paybacks a bwitch. Dont refund me 2.99, then lose on 300$

I know its supposed to smell fishy but this was unbearable I couldnt even leave it open, it smelled so bad.

I buy mine loose from the feed store, and I don't detect a fishy smell.

I heard its perfectly normal to smell a tad fishy but ofcourse not overbearing. I have a local feed store (the only one) Ill stop in there and get them, probably 1$ each.
