UK help with Paperwork

Hello guys im sure someone here will be able to help me out, when I purchased my hermann tortoise the lady in the shop told me I had to get my tortoises paper work put in my name for my tortoise and it would cost around £20. I am just wondering if anyone knows the process of doing this ?

You don't need to transfer it to your name unless you plan to sell the tortoise. If you do, you will need to update it. Not sure about the exact price but info on article 10 here might be helpful?

I'm from UK and haven't been told to change name just said certificate must always go with tortoise if rehomed etc
