Well I haven't been updating much because Darwin is getting older and out of the critical age so I don't worry as much. Darwin is now 23 months old. He (really a she) is now 12'' long, 8 1/2'' wide and weighs 8.28 pounds. Or 3755.74 grams. Does she look OK to you guys? I know they all grow at different speeds but would you say she is above or bellow average? Thanks!

12" at two years is on the higher side of the spectrum, but your tortoise looks fantastic and healthy. Don't be alarmed by that. Plenty of UV, exercise, hydration, calcium and a good diet, and everything should be perfect.

Nice job stopping that pyramiding. Very inspirational!

Thanks Tom! All the credit goes to you. Everything I did, I learned from reading your post. I knew nothing about torts when I rescued Darwin. Just lucky I found TFO when I did and you told me everything to do and I did it. So, Thank you!

You should be ashamed on how incredibly perfect he(she) looks! lol Job well done. A great example of proper care. Would you be up for posting a plastron shot to show how (she) he is? I have some young sulcatas that are a few inches smaller than I would like to compare the shots to. Just out of curiousty?
