Update on Fubar - the fused eyelid story

Hi all!
It's been 8 days since Fubar opened his 'fused eyelids from birth' and wanted to give everyone an update.

His eyes continue to open and clear up. His left is better than the right and more responsive as well. His blinking has gotten closer to a normal rate.

He's making up for lost time and is eating and checking everything out! It's so much fun to watch this process! I've been trying to get some weight on him for 2 years now and in the last week he's put on .5 ounce! That's huge when he only weighed 2.5 ounces to start with!

He's had to learn how to make sense of his sight signals to his brain but it's coming along! I think keeping him with some others have helped in this area.

Attached is a pic of his eye as far as it can open currently.

Just wanted to check in and see how Fubar is doing. Is he still making progress? Putting on weight? How are his eyes?

Fubar is doing AWESOME!! Thanks for asking!

He's put on more weight and he's starting to make the connections in his brain about what he's seeing. He's starting to eat on his own. I'm down to feeding him separatly every few weeks now. He loves the water now. I can't keep him out of it!

Such great news! I'm just so amazed at his progress...he's often on my mind.
