upper beak broke off

Tordy's upper beak broke off today. he still eating seems to be in no pain. will this grow back ??

The picture is too blurry for me to tell how badly it broke off.

When a beak breaks off it's usually because the beak had been allowed to be overgrown. See if you can get us a better picture.

In answer to your question, beaks, like toenails, are keratin. They normally will grow back, but it sort of depends upon how short they've broken off.

Are you using a camera phone?
1. Maybe try using the manual focus option if the phone is unable to get a proper lock onto the beak.
2. Get a bit of distance and try again.
3. Check the photo and it's clarity before posting on the forum to save time.

@Yvonne G pretty much sums it up. The beak will regrow but do pay attention to the tortoise's beak and nail length to prevent these breakages from re-occurring.
