The last week i wrote about water! The stores are closed due to the holidays to check for analysis! I warm bottled water and I soak them! Now the last month i see white urates in my tortoises! It's not hard or gritty! Its like toothpaste! Please if i do something wrong I would kike to know! My diet is: i chopped with knife all these! Hawkbits, plantain,Sow thistle, mallow the leaves (cheeseweed) and twice a week lettuce and cactus and just a little bit bites of grassland food! Am i giving them too much calcium? Should i stop something from my diet? I wet the food always! My temperature in day is 28-30 degrees using arcadia floodlight lamps and uvb arcadia 12% Thank you all and merry Christmas!

Hello!
Urates are not related to calcium intake, only to amount of consumed protein and hydration. Toothpaste-like urates are fine. Did you change their diet last month? Feeding more mallow, plantain, clover, more young leaves can increase protein intake. I don't think you need to worry or change their diet - just keep them well-hydrated.

Yes i changed this month and i give them dandelions greens! They don't drink water from their bowls that's why I soak them and i wet the food!
