UV Light

Hi, I have a baby indian star tortoise and am trying to find away of bringing them with us if we stay elsewhere for a few days. I have found a smaller vivarium which comes with a basking light but no UV. Would it be OK for 2 or 3 days without? Or can anyone recommend anything without spending a fortune? thank you.

Best to leave the tortoise home. G. elegans stress easily and the moving around in cold weather is likely to induce sickness. A few days with you being gone should be no problem. There are several ways to safely manage that, with or without help.

A few days with no UV will be fine for any tortoise.
