I installed zoomed reptisun t5 10.0 uvb yesterday
I think I've seen that it should be 18 inches(45cm) high, but my uvb is 25~30cm away from substrate
Would it be better to stick the uvb on the ceiling?

Hello! Yes, you need to rise it. But don't use glues or stickers - screws only. What's the height between substrate and ceiling? If the lamp is still too low you may need to add mesh cover (e.g. metallic fly screen mesh) or change the lamp to 5.0.

screws only... I don't think it's going to be easy, but I'll try it
I think the distance would be perfect if I put it on the ceiling. thank you

Scree the metal brackets that came with the fixture to the ceiling and then pop the fixture to place.

Reptisun Terrarium Hoods don't have any. They are intended to lie on top of mesh screen. It's always an adventure to fix them to the ceiling :)) Perhaps, using 4 screw-in hooks is the easiest option. Or metallic brackets/tape from the hardware store.

I thought I saw some in the photo, but I might be wrong. These look very similar to the clips that come with the Arcadia fixture.

@woojb0705 The clips should have a hole in them for you to screw the clips on to the ceiling. Then you just push the fixture to place in those clips. I found this video useful:

I don't think that is too close for a ZooMed fixture. Especially if you are only running it for a few hours mid day as you should be. It does look like it might be too close if that were an Arcadia 12% HO tube.

Only a UV meter can answer this question. Solarmeter 6.5.

It does not look ZooMed nor does it look like it has a mirror type reflector. So any guesses as to proper distance are totally guesses. Only a Solarmeter 6.5 or specs from the correct manufacturer are valid for proper height. Type of reflector, wire mesh, type of ballast, brand of bulb, etc. all effect UVI level and distance.

Also - for others reading for input - I don't like the UVB fixture to be more than 1/2 the length of the enclosure. A tortoise needs to be able to rest away from the basking zone and UV.
