Very confused:T

I didn't have my doubts about my tortoise's gender until today. Usually "his" tail is tucked in the side, which i read was normal for a male tortoise. But today "his" tail is sticking straight out and it is normally short, which is congruent with a female tortoise. but his/her nails are really long... and i cant get a picture because i need both hands to hold him and no one can take the picture for me.

Lie him on his back on a cushion to take the picture. It will do no harm for the length of time it takes to take a photo.

How long is your tort?

Not really sure but probably 5-7 after what I read and he/she is wild caught. It is about 4 inches

Probably a bit small to sex accurately then. Five inches is about the minimum for certainty.

Huh i now have doubts about my russians gender!! They told me he was a male- and he has a flat bottom shell- his tails sticks out or goes to the side- but he is silly and will leave his back legs sticks all out always????
