Hello....well, that is hard to answer...I would suppose location, treatment you seek for your tort will play a large part in that....:D

Around here, vets are $50 for a check-up, which doesn't include tests or treatments.. :(

Sadly vet prices vary from vet to vet and how much their services cost. My vet charges 35 for a visit.

Well hopefully you don't live around here because exams (without anything even being done yet) are 100 dollars each... They have a 15 dollar Wednesday where any pet you bring in no matter what is only $15, but you have to schedule a month in advance because they book up so fast (probably because everyone knows they're being screwed on every other day..) :-/

If you're talking about a check-up exam for a newly acquired tortoise, I would try to account for $100-ish dollars. That's $30-50 for (in most cases) the exotic animal exam fee, and then whatever is leftover. Hopefully, you get a fairly healthy tortoise and it shouldn't need anything beyond a deworming.
