Vygo's Shell. Normal for Russians?

Hi everyone! Long time no see!!
I wanted to get the opinions of some of the experiences users and Russian owners.
Vygo is about 7 months now and happy as ever. His shell has just about doubled since I got him. He's at 4 inches and 94 grams.
However, I noticed parts of the outside rim of his shell are clear!!! Is this normal?
