Every morning Walker will come out and lay near the entrance to his summer room(which is a short tunnel behind his house) for a while before venturing out to start grazing and looking for the cactus pads that I have left in different places around the yard.He usually finds all of them even if I place them in out of the way places. This morning it was cloudy so he set there longer than normal. mine do that too. come and plop right down in the first sun and warm up before eating.. the russian comes out of his hidey area and climbs up on some plants, angles himself just so and waits for me to arrive with breakfast..

He's very handsome. I LOVE the tunnel! It's so true how they are not going to do anything until they are good and ready. But I sure do love mine. The best times are mornings when he's basking and his back legs are laid straight behind him and he lets me warm his neck and "shoulders?" with my hands, and enjoys a chin rub. It's so quiet and the birds are chirping. I so love it.
