King of the hill. I went in to get my camera because he was sunning at the top of the mound. But he saw me and was on his way down when I got the shot.
looking for food.
This was a picture of my fledgling container garden with Wally's habitat in the background. I buried the Dogloo and created the tunnel with a filing of cement board and covered it all up with dirt. The Dogloo has a CHE in it. Wally has grown considerably since I got him a little over a year ago. New growth, all smooth. Lots of plants for him to eat in the habitat. But some he really has to work for since he has already eaten the lower hibiscus leaves. In the long term, I would like to have this whole section be his home, but it have to put hard cloth under the fence to pool and build a short wall by the sidewalk. The block wall goes down about 2 1/2 feet. Don't ask me why the previous owner did that. But it works for me.That is supposed to read ceiling of cement board not filing! Haha
