My tortoise food frosted this morning. South Central Texas should be a little more like Florida LOL.

The weeds are thick. I'm some places they are 3+ ft lol. More pop up everyday and some are still a mystery. Thankfully the ones I'm unsure of are in the wooly side. The tortoise yard weeds are lower profile and identifiable.

And also, my smooth and prickly sow thistle is getting heavily spotted with dark brown spots. Is that damage from the cold or a disease? Can I feed it?

One more for @Iochroma .

All of those weeds in the yard pics are edible. The tall stuff in the back is mallow. Excellent tortoise food and you can put it in human salads too.

Sorry, I don't have much experience with weeds from Texas (Florida, Mexico, etc. either). I don't think it is Crepis japonica though. As always, pictures of the flowers are the most helpful for identification.
